IMMIGRATION WAIVER

A waiver is often the only thing standing between a family and separation. If a ground of inadmissibility blocks your green card or your return to the United States, the law may allow the government to forgive it, but only if the case is built correctly. Laurore, PC prepares waiver applications supported by documented hardship, expert evidence, and a record designed for the adjudicator who will read it.

We handle:

Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers (I-601A). For applicants in the United States who must depart for consular processing, allowing the unlawful presence bar to be waived before departure so that time abroad is measured in weeks rather than years.

Waivers of Inadmissibility (I-601). Filed from abroad or in connection with adjustment, addressing unlawful presence, fraud or misrepresentation, certain criminal grounds, health-related grounds, and the permanent bar's related relief.

Fraud and Misrepresentation Waivers Under INA § 212(i). Including cases involving prior false claims, document issues, and misstatements at entry or in earlier filings.

Criminal Inadmissibility Waivers Under INA § 212(h). For certain crimes involving moral turpitude, prostitution, and single simple possession offenses, including the special rules that apply to lawful permanent residents.

Consent to Reapply After Removal (I-212). For those subject to a prior removal or expedited removal order who need permission to seek admission again, often paired with an I-601 or I-601A.

Waivers of the Two-Year Foreign Residence Requirement (J-1). No objection statements, hardship and persecution waivers, and interested government agency requests.

Conditional Residence Waivers (I-751). Waivers of the joint filing requirement based on good faith marriage terminated by divorce, battery or extreme cruelty, or extreme hardship.

Waivers in Removal Proceedings. Including 212(h), 212(i), and 237(a)(1)(H) relief presented before the immigration judge.

Nonimmigrant Waivers Under INA § 212(d)(3). For temporary visitors and workers who are otherwise inadmissible.

Most waivers turn on extreme hardship to a qualifying relative, and hardship is proven, not asserted. We gather the medical records, financial documentation, country conditions evidence, and expert opinions that make the standard real. Consultations are available in English, French, Haitian Kreyòl, and Spanish.
